Windows:
Each of our donors contributed $500 toward replacing one of the windows in the old school. We quickly sold all 40 of them, and all have now been placed.
Left: Dovie & Woodrow Wilson from the class of 1935, holding window plaques.
Dovie and late brother, Woodrow, were in the same class. They moved to Texas after graduation, and Woodrow became a lawyer. Woodrow passed away just a week before our school reunion in 2005.
Other fund-raiser projects include: Memory Tiles, Auditorium Donations Board, Books: Norman Centennial, NHS History Book, Snapshots Book, and Norman In Review Art Book. We also have a 32 page magazine published twice a year for members. We have a charter membership board for our first 200 members. And, we have had donations of $3,000 or more to "fix" one our old classrooms for a museum room. We still have two rooms up for "adoption" if you would like your name and story on a plaque on the wall, just give us a call and we will tell you how it works.
Other projects include a Memorial Tile wall; roof replacement donations, Book sales (see our publications page); Auditorium Restoration project and Memory Plaque. We also have rooms which still need renovation and we accept donations for those and if enough is donated to completely restore the room we will put a plaque up with the donor's name and story. Check here to read some that have been donated.
