Montgomery County court records date from 1845. The county was formed December 9, 1842, but the first court seems to have been held in 1845.  There were 205 people listed on the 1842 tax records.  Most records are in fair to good shape and are housed in a vault at the courthouse in Mt. Ida, Arkansas, and are accessible to the public.

If you need records before 1842, you will need to look in Hot Spring or Clark County.
