We have some extra copies of The Looking Glass For Sale. Please note, the copies are not copies we made, but copies made by the owners when they ran out of printed copies. We do NOT copy books or magazines and sell them, this is illegal.
We will be adding a finding aide for The Looking Glass, but if you are interested in a family you may use the contact form on the left of page to send a request for a name search. We will not index these, only by article title or subject.
COST is $6 each, and this includes S & H charges. Send a check or money order to: NHPP, Inc. P. O. Box 226, Norman, AR 71961. We ship media mail, if possible. If you want first class shipping you will be asked to pay the full postage price. The numbers are month and year, TLG was printed monthly.
Gene and Nancy Owen, Hatfield, AR owner/publisher 1976-1989
The Looking Glass was first issued as a free newspaper and was issued April 3, 1975, it remained a free newspaper until July 1976, which was the first magazine issue and was sold at that time. When a free newspaper it survived on advertising. Mike Cate took over at the end of 1989. Mike's first issue was January 1990, and his last issue was in 1996.
These issues sell so fast that we have quit trying to list the index, so just look at the finding aid, or send an email if you want to check our inventory.
We do not buy copies of The Looking Glass, however, if you have some you would like to donate
we would be happy to have them. The profits from the sale of TLG goes to NHPP,
Inc. an Arkansas non-profit which is restoring the old Norman High School for
an educational center.
